Regardless of project type or scale, design is about PEOPLE AND PLACE, the people who will ultimately occupy the space in and around the built structures, and the physical context in which the structures reside. We do not have a singular design aesthetic and intentionally avoid identifying one for a project prior to a deep dive into understanding the people and place that are driving it. Once the characteristics of people and place are identified, coupled with the project vision and program, a clear path emerges for shaping the design. That DESIGN PATH AND TRAJECTORY becomes the standard against which decisions are weighed throughout the design process.

Our process rests on a solid foundation composed of intimate knowledge of the project site and the goals of all project stakeholders, both quantitative and qualitative. A STRONG RELATIONSHIP based on mutual respect with our client is essential to a successful project.

With extensive experience in building and fabrication, we enjoy close collaboration with contractors and their trade partners. We solicit contractor input and refine the document content and detail to effectively communicate the design intent.
