Maurice’s passion for architecture is rooted in his lifelong love of art & design, across a multitude of disciplines. From painting to woodworking and furniture design, to graphic and web design, he believes thoughtful design marries time honored technique with forward-thinking creativity in every detail. Maurice has a wide range of experience and is Project Designer with CREO.


Background

Maurice, a dedicated Project Designer at CREO Architects since its inception, finds joy in crafting spaces that resonate with people. His passion lies in woodworking, leathercraft, and the art of incorporating subtle, unnoticed details into his designs. Maurice values the use of native materials and respects the historical context of each project, embracing the vernacular and the "why" and "how" behind its development. He's also known for his dedication to integrating technology to enhance the design process, constantly seeking innovative ways to improve. With a diverse portfolio spanning residential and commercial projects, Maurice's work is a testament to his commitment to creating environments that harmonize with their surroundings and history.
His previous experience extends to working in healthcare and higher education with Marmon|Mok in San Antonio, higher education with 4240 Architects in Denver and commercial and residential work with Overland Partners in San Antonio. Outside of Architecture, Maurice’s experience carries over into woodworking, leather craft and graphic design.
